And the all time most romantic duo is back again and this time will be performing in 6 cities!

"...We have a lot of great shows for next year and are planning to record live shows in several cities in Brazil in the spring, being it's time for another live record...don't you agree...and DVD, and this one will be a little different—we will keep you informed as we get closer."

   Those were some of Graham and Russell's words in their last e-mail to all Airheards around the world on December 6th, 2010. And they only showed they're not kidding at all! Brazil has been included again in their new shows for the Mumbo Jumbo world tour and according to the guys, they are planning a recording of a live DVD during their concerts in Brazil. Their fans are already filled up with happiness and excitement! 

The last duo's album, Mumbo Jumbo,  called the positive attention of the international music media once more and the critics just couldn't be better. Music sites and several American FM radio stations and in other countries have promoted massively their new singles. Dance With Me was the first one to get into the charts going to top 30, after a long period of the absence of Air Supply new studio songs being there since the release of The Book of Love (1997). Mumbo jumbo has also presented us with another single, Faith in Love. In Brazil, songs like Hold On and Until have become instant real hits among the fans, right before the album coming up for sale on the duo's site or even having any promotion on the national media!

 As if the success of Mumbo Jumbo wasn't enough, Russell Hitchcock has flirted with the romanticism of the country music. The result of that can be found on his brand new solo release, a double CD entitled Tennessee (The Nashville Sessions) whose official release is to be in March, 2011 (read more on the special dedicated to the artist on CD/DVD Releases section). So, everything leads us to believe that 2011 will certainly be the year for Air Supply! Great new shows, a live DVD recording in Brazil, Russell Hitchcock singing and enchanting us all with his new country ballads and much more that is yet to come. 

  The duo will be performing twice for the very first time in Ceará on a same tour! In addition to the concert in Fortaleza - the capital of the state, Air Supply will be the international attraction at the Parque de Exposições Pedro Felício Cavalcante in Crato. The show will be on March 27th and part of the profit will be used to help the victims of the heavy rains and floods in that area. The show which had been planned to take place at Teatro Amazonas in Manaus has been transfered to Studio 5 in the same city. The duo will perform live for their very first time in that city as well on March 30th. There's still some hope that they'll be able to perform in Brasília (the capital of the country) in March, too. Everything has been in a negotiation stage so far.

Nós anunciamos com orgulho: 4 de maio é a data oficial para o lançamento nos Estados Unidos do tão aguardado álbum de estúdio, "Mumbo Jumbo".


Nós decidimos tocar a canção-título, "Mumbo Jumbo" pela primeira vez no show desta noite em Morristown, New Jersey. Então para aqueles que estarão indo a este show, será uma grata surpresa! Eu tenho certeza de que a versão ao vivo de "Mumbo Jumbo" estará no YouTube logo após ser tocada. Parece que cada show ao vivo é postado antes mesmo de chegarmos no hotel! É o futuro. Isso também dá uma oportunidade aos Airheads no mundo todo de ouvir as novas canções!


Como prometido, nós já estamos enviando a vocês uma outra canção do novo álbum. Desta vez é "Hold On", com a participação nos vocais de Michael Johns, que você lembrará do American Idol. Seu vocal na canção é impressionante e não há dúvida que ela se tornará um clássico instantâneo do Air Supply. O solo de guitarra é de Russell Letizia e foi um solo gravado de primeira! Isso é tudo por enquanto, só para mantermos todos atualizados.

    Desde os 5 anos de idade, CJ Burton estava destinado a tocar bateria. Foi nessa época em que a descoberta do ritmo começou a partir de potes e panelas puxados para fora do armário da cozinha e batidos com ritmos por horas e horas (enlouquecendo ambos os vizinhos e mãe!). A paixão e o amor para ouvir música também começaram nessa época, a partir das fitas cassetes de astros como The Police, Toto, Air Supply, Michael Jackson e Queen, que eram ouvidos sem parar, acendendo, assim, o fogo para uma viagem musical de tocar bateria profissionalmente, que já dura mais de 25 anos, o que inclui tocar em clubes pequenos e grandes, casamentos, festas em empresas corporativas, palcos imensos de shows etc.

   Com a idade de 15 anos, CJ estava se apresentando em clubes noturnos nos arredores de sua cidade natal e foi ganhando exposição como baterista, vindo a trabalhar no cenário musical de Salt Lake City. Ao se formar na faculdade, começou a estudar com um dos melhores músicos de sessões de Utah, Kellly Wallis, e recebeu um diploma da Faculdade de Música com ênfase em negócios. Durante esse tempo, ele expandiu seus estilos musicais e começou a estudar bateria do Fusion, Funk, Jazz e Soul, bem como as habilidades de articulação em bateria do Rock.

   Em 2002, CJ se apresentou em mais de 22 shows para os Jogos Olímpicos de Inverno de Salt Lake City em um só mês, e nesse mesmo ano foi eleito o melhor baterista de Utah pela revista local Weekly. Desde então, ele vem trabalhando principalmente como baterista freelancer independente, turnês, gravação e mantem uma agenda de shows ocupada com artistas de turnês local e internacional.

   CJ está atualmente em turnê pelo mundo com o super grupo lendário Air Supply e pode ser visto tanto em shows com a banda, como também se apresentando com alguns dos melhores músicos de Salt Lake City.

Christian Nesmith

Christian DuVal Nesmith (born January 31, 1964) is a musician, and the eldest son of former Monkee Michael Nesmith. He has worked with his father (on the album The Garden ), Michael Sherwood (on Tangletown and in the band GLP), Ty Tabor (backing vocals on 2002's Safety ), Doug Pinnick of King's X (touring band from 1998) and Cindy Alexander. His daughter, Chyna Dale , has also collaborated with him.

He released a solo album, An Axe to Grind , in 2006 on Blackwings Multimedia. Nesmith also plays guitars in Circe Link ( Moody Girl , 2006).

A solo artist as of now. Putting together players to represent live. Has worked in many different areas of music. Member of several local LA bands over the years. Toured with Doug Pinnick of King's X. Musical director of the first ever production of HAIR in Russia. Producer of several local acts including Sun Tea, who can be heard here on Garageband.com.

Also played guitar on many national commercials incl. Coke, Chevy, Got Milk, MacDonalds and many many others. Years and years in the biz. Now finally pleased with the rock and roll he's making, he's letting GB listeners give him some feedback and is very appreciative of the response so far.

Ami Efrat

Amir Efrat has worked as a music producer and keyboardist for the last ten years, covers all mediums of film, T.V, live performance/bands and live theatres, for broadcast within the U.S. and abroad. Amir has attended the New School University, New York and Berklee College of Music, Boston, where he obtained his Bachelor of Music.


Some of his film and T.V credits include: composing for: Starting Over (N.B.C), The Hilton Show (N.B.C), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell), Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson), The Trident (David Carradine, Aalok Metha), And remaking of the classic Marvin Gay song “Sexual Healing” on Duplex (Ben Stiller, Drew Barrymor, Danny DeVito).


Some of his album credits as a producer include: Zera Vaughan-Back To The Roots; Miria-Under The Surface; Kyle Puccia-Bipolar (Part One); Noa Dori-Letting Go; and Jessica Fichot-Le Chemin.
Aside from all of his production projects, Amir has recently been on tour with Air Supply, and has been touring internationally with Sony Records Recording Artist, Ishtar (Alabina), as keyboardist and programmer. He has played with Dawn Robinson (En Vogue), and played on the show “Hit Me Baby One More Time” (NBC) as the House Band Keyboard Player, which included performances with Howard Jones, Cece Panisten, Sophie B. Hawkins, Haddaway, Irene Cara and more.


In his work, Amir defines his own unique sound, reflecting the rich experience that he has producing, composing, and performing with a variety of artists and genres. Those genres include World music (Middle Eastern, African, Indian), Electronic music, Funk, Jazz, Fusion, R&B, Rock, blues, Folk Music and more.

Neverending Love - Hong Kong 2009

Finalmente, o tão badalado retorno da dupla a Hong Kong aconteceu no dia 12 de Junho de 2009! A grande turné intitulada Neverending Love Concert (Concerto Amor Eterno) foi divulgada maciçamente por toda a China e nos demais países vizinhos, onde a dupla não poderia se apresentar.

O Air Supply cantou seu repertório de sucessos já conhecido pelo público asiático que tanto prestigia o trabalho da banda desde sua formação, mas a paixão se solidificou para sempre mesmo durante os shows na Ásia em 1995-1996 da turné Now And Forever, uma celebração grandiosa dos seus 20 anos de carreira e sucesso.

A banda escolheu como base oficial o JW Marriot Hong Kong Hotel, onde Graham Russell e Russell Hitchcock participaram de uma alegre conferência com a imprensa local e internacional. Sobre o evento, Michael Nisky, gerente do hotel, disse:

"Nós estamos gratos que o JW Marriot Hotel tenha sido escolhido para ser o hotel oficial dos shows. É uma combinação perfeita, pois tanto o Air Supply quanto JW Marriot sempre dão tudo de si para apresentar o melhor e ter a certeza de que nosso público esteja feliz".

Show Beneficente Para As Filipinas (2009)

As Filipinas foram atingidas pelo furacão "Ondoy" no dia 26 de setembro de 2009. O evento provocou várias inundações e tragédias em largas proporções pelo país.

Vários artistas estão se mobilizando desde então para ajudar o povo filipino, entre eles, sua atual estrela em ascenção na música pop, Clarice, Lionel Richie, Arnel Pineda (filipino, teve sua casa destruída. Atualmente, é o vocalista principal da banda Journey), Black Eyed Peas e Air Supply, entre tantos outros que estão fazendo doações e planejando concertos especiais com toda a renda dedicada aos desabrigados naquele país.

Segundo o site Claricemania.com, a dupla espera que sua música de alguma forma eleve o espírito do povo filipino durante os quatro concertos de outubro. Eles, que se tornaram grandes amigos dos filipinos, doarão a renda desses shows totalmente às vítimas do furacão "Ondoy".
